Privacy policy

Effective August 2026. Plain-language version first: the calculators run entirely in your browser, your inputs are never sent to us, and we collect as little as a website can.

What the calculators do with your inputs

All calculations happen locally in your browser. The dimensions and options you enter are not transmitted to our servers. If you use “Copy link,” your inputs are encoded in the link itself so you can share or revisit an estimate — that link exists only where you paste it.

Analytics

We use website analytics (Google Analytics 4 and/or GoatCounter) to understand aggregate usage — which pages are visited and roughly where traffic comes from. Analytics data is aggregated; we do not use it to identify individuals, and we do not sell personal information.

Advertising

EstimateYard is supported by advertising. When ad units are active, our advertising partners (such as Google AdSense or a premium ad network) may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted. Where required (GDPR/CCPA and similar laws), a consent banner lets you accept or decline personalized advertising, and “Do Not Sell or Share” rights are honored through that same mechanism. Google’s advertising practices are described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Affiliate links

Some materials lists and recommendations may include affiliate links to retailers. If you buy through one, the retailer may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links never change the math: quantities and cost estimates are computed the same whether or not a link exists. Pages containing affiliate links carry a disclosure.
